Yoga is an ancient practice, tradition, and wisdom that combines the practice of physical postures with breath work and mindful awareness to help practitioners realize their full potential and true essential nature.  Yoga is meant to support the physical, emotional, mental, and energetic well-being of the practitioner. Unfortunately, yoga has become "westernized," glamorized, accessorized, and privatized to the degree that many people don't feel welcome or comfortable in attending yoga classes and activities, or even feel that yoga "isn't for them" because of their body size, shape, age or how they identify as a person. I'm here to assure you that this powerful, sweet practice is absolutely for you, accessible to you, and that you, too, have every right to experience the transformative potential that yoga offers.

Start From Where You Are

Just show up. You don't need to change a thing about yourself to start yoga. No need for special clothing or gadgets. No need to lose weight or think you need to "get in shape" before starting a yoga practice.  And there's no need to ever have practiced yoga before or even really know what it is. Just show up. 

All bodies of all diversities are always warmly welcomed in my studio and online classes. You will feel valued and supported as I offer variations and modifications so that yoga is accessible, safe, and comfortable for you. I will work with you to help you find what feels rights for you, starting at whatever point of beginning that honors your current capacities. Just show up and we'll start from where you are. 

I'm trained in the Himalayan tradition of yoga practice and philosophy and certified in a variety of yoga styles and traditions as well as mindfulness practices and meditation. I design my group classes and private instruction to accommodate all levels of abilities, interests, and curiosities.
